My name is Ken Burke, and I live in Edwardsville, IL. I am a Service Writer here also and I have been working for Frieze Harley-Davidson since 2003.

I was in the motorcycle industry for 10 years prior, dealing with various brands. I also have experience working in our Parts & Accessory Dept.

MARK MORAN
SERVICE WRITER

I’m a new member to the Frieze Harley-Davidson Family as a Service Writer. I currently live within the local Millstadt, Illinois area. I’m a graduate from McKendree College with a degree in Business Administration and an Associates Degree from Belleville Area College (SWIC) in Data Processing & Drafting Technology. I gained my interest in motorcycles over 5 years ago, and currently own two, and always looking to add another motorcycle to my stables. The next best thing to riding motorcycles, is working around them within a Harley-Davidson Dealership.

TIM CRANK
MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY

I started working here at Frieze in April 2000. My first bike was a 1975 SX175, which I have completely restored to date.

I also own a 2008 FLHX Street Glide. I am married and live in Columbia with my wife Sandy and stepdaughter Sara.

CHARLIE LEEPER
MASTER OF TECHNOLOGY

I started working at frieze Harley Davidson in June 2000. I graduated from AMI (American Motorcycle Institute) in 1992, first in my class. I worked seven years at Easy Riders in St. Louis as a mechanic, and am thrilled to finally work in a Harley-Davidson Dealership. I have been riding motorcycles for the past 25 years, I actually owned my first harley before I owned a car.

DYNOJET 250 TUNING CENTER

You say your bike has a miss going 55mph, in 4th gear, riding up hills? We can simulate those running conditions in our Dyno Load Simulator, while providing pinpoint diagnostic data logging. ... And your bike never needs to leave our Shop. Call our Service Dept. today! (618) 622-0045

DYNO TESTING.......

at our modern test facility takes the guesswork out of machine set up, offering peace of mind, reliability and performance to the owner or user that is second to none. Accurate data on the performance of your motorcycle gained by testing of the machine as arrived tells the technician what is wrong and therefore what is required to optimize your machine for best performance, economy and power.

Anyone serious about getting the best from their motorcycle will find huge benefits from our service of trained professionals adept at dyno testing and analysis as opposed to any other option available. The carefully controlled environment of our dyno room, the accuracy and level of diagnostic and programming equipment contained therein, together with the experience of our trained technicians at interpreting the data and making relevant changes to fuel and ignition settings gives you the best value for money against performance available.

Typically, loss of power gains derived from the DIY addition of exhaust, air filter etc. and can have a detrimental effect on engine performance unless harmonized by careful set up of the fuel and ignition systems.

THE RIGHT MAINTENANCE IS IMPORTANT

BEFORE YOU GO RIDING

1.

Start by checking the oil & filter and inspect the other fluid levels. If you do it yourself, stick to the maintenance schedule. Make sure the old oil is disposed of properly.

2.

Next, check your controls to be sure they operate properly; this includes the front & rear brake lines, throttle, idle and clutch cables.

3.

Check your tire pressure often, daily when you're touring. Consult your owners' manual for the correct pressure & load rating. While checking your pressure also inspect your tires. Replace them is there's less than 50 percent of the tread left, cracks, cuts or signs of distress. Our Service Technicians are expertly trained to replace tires & inspect your wheels.

4.

Check for any fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid leaks. Also make sure your cases & lines aren't leaking.

5.

For high-mileage bikes, inspect the drive belt, sprockets & brakes.

6.

Check your headlight, turn signals, tail & brake lights every time you ride.

7.

Adjust your mirrors while sitting on your bike, before you ride.

8.

For those that don't ride as often as they'd like, install a battery tender. If you travel a lot, the battery tender will help you avoid a dead battery.

The Harley-Davidson® Extended Service Plan eases the pain of a breakdown. If you were ever to be stranded, you'll be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. (See your contract for details)

Doing basic maintenance yourself can save you time & money in the long run, but know your comfort level. The risks aren't worth it, call us at
618-622-0045 to schedule a service appointment.
